About the position

The Community Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the property while ensuring high-quality service to residents. This position involves performing various maintenance tasks, responding to service requests, and adhering to safety protocols. The technician may also take on responsibilities of a Service Supervisor based on property assignment, contributing to the overall operational needs of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service to residents in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Follow up on service requests to ensure the highest quality customer satisfaction.
  • Perform maintenance work for make-ready units as directed, including service requests and repairs.
  • Install major appliances and complete other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain the physical appearance of the community, including common areas, grounds, and building systems.
  • Correct or report deficiencies to supervisors.
  • Adhere to the company's safety programs.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Trade School preferred.
  • EPA Refrigerant Certification.
  • HVAC/Freon Recovery Certification.
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Knowledge of a variety of skilled trades, including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in minor carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work.
  • Basic welding and metal work skills.
