About the position

The Community Support Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Community Support Staff who provide direct mental case management services to clients within the Mental Health Case Management Program. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, providing training and support to staff, and managing the overall quality of services delivered to clients. The supervisor will also engage in community outreach and maintain relationships with referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of assigned supervisees (maximum of 8 supervisees).
  • Maintain documentation of supervision sessions.
  • Provide training to staff on the provision of case management services.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and needed corrective actions.
  • Manage case reassignments for terminated/resigned supervisees, including auditing charts and timely reassignment of cases.
  • Perform administrative auditing of client charts for compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Create and maintain community resource guides for clients and staff.
  • Provide intervention during crises as needed.
  • Assign and review assessments and plans of care, ensuring compliance with documentation timelines.
  • Ensure timely completion of authorizations for new and ongoing clients.
  • Coordinate and oversee team meetings and family team meetings.
  • Participate in community outreach on behalf of BTST and the Program.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources.
  • Adhere to location-specific reporting and data collection requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Maintain professional license in the state of MD as LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory and case management experience.
  • Experience working in a behavioral health setting providing services to clients with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
  • Knowledge of CARF standards and COMAR regulations preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and clear driving record.
