About the position
Hennepin Home Health Care is seeking qualified Mental Health Practitioners to join their expanding ARMHS (Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services) department. This full-time position focuses on providing mental health support to individuals, including symptom management, crisis assistance, and promoting healthy lifestyle practices. The role emphasizes a supportive work environment with opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental illness symptom management to clients.
- Utilize and integrate community resources for client support.
- Assist clients in crisis situations.
- Implement relapse prevention strategies.
- Support clients in household management tasks.
- Teach healthy lifestyle skills and practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in behavioral sciences or related field, or
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related field with a practicum or internship focused on behavioral sciences, or
- 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences with 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental illness or substance abuse, or
- No degree with 4,000 hours of supervised experience in mental illness, substance abuse disorders, or emotional disturbances.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human services.
