About the position

The Community Support Specialist (CSS) at the Center for Applied Behavior Analysis, LLC (CABA) is responsible for implementing person-centered clinical programming based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves working closely with clients to achieve their personal goals, coordinating community outreach, and maintaining client records while ensuring ethical practices and adherence to best practices in the field.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in achieving identified goals related to postsecondary education and vocational skills.
• Create daily schedules and routines for clients.
• Coordinate community outreach with local resources on behalf of clients.
• Implement ABA-based behavior plans and skill acquisition programs as designed by senior clinical team members.
• Collect data and maintain client records in accordance with individualized goals.
• Assist clients with personal care while maintaining their dignity.
• Complete Internal Incident Reports (IIR) and Mandated Reporting in a timely manner.
• Utilize public transportation to accompany clients on community outings.
• Adhere to ethical practices and core values of CABA.
• Fulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Complete other clinical and administrative activities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years' experience supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and mental health diagnoses.
• Reliable means of transportation and valid CA driver's license.
• Must pass a TB test and criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance).
• RBT Certification or willingness to obtain.

Nice-to-haves
