About the position

As a Community Support Specialist Level II at Clarvida, LLC, you will play a crucial role in supporting families who are facing challenges that may lead to the removal of their children or youth from their homes. This position requires you to work collaboratively within a team environment, engaging directly with families in their homes and communities to address various child welfare concerns, including issues related to housing, abuse, neglect, and other barriers that may affect family stability. Your primary goal will be to prevent the removal of children by providing essential support and resources to families in need. In cases where children have already been removed, you will focus on facilitating reunification by providing parenting skills training, psycho-education, and in-the-moment redirection and coaching to enhance family bonds. You will educate families on vital life skills, parenting techniques, and the impacts of trauma, acting as an advocate and support system throughout the process. This role involves setting goals with families, documenting their progress, reporting any concerns regarding alleged abuse or neglect, and testifying in court when necessary. Additionally, you may be required to provide transportation for families as needed, ensuring they have access to the services and support they require. Utilizing trauma-informed care models and evidence-based practices, you will work closely with your supervisor to foster your professional growth and development. This position offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to create your own schedule while completing documentation from home. You will receive training in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) and Motivational Interviewing, equipping you with the skills necessary to effectively support families in crisis.
