About the position

The Community Support Specialist Provider role at Fresh Start Therapeutic Services, LLC involves providing intensive outpatient mental and behavioral health services to clients at risk of homelessness, hospitalization, or school expulsion. The position requires working closely with clients to deliver life skills training and support their recovery process, primarily in their homes or schools. The role is part-time, full-time, or contract-based, with a focus on enhancing clients' capabilities and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Provide skills-building service delivery to clients, enhancing their capabilities and assets.
• Assist clients in their recovery process to improve mental health and wellness.
• Deliver site-based intensive services at clients' homes, schools, or adult daycare facilities.
• Review and update treatment plans with clients and their legal authorized representatives (LAR).
• Maintain and update the Theranest calendar daily to avoid scheduling conflicts.
• Document progress notes and correspondence in Theranest following treatment protocols and guidelines.
• Attend staffing meetings and treatment plan reviews with the treatment team.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years of direct mental health care experience.
• Must have an associate degree in social services or higher education.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Must have current car insurance.
• Must undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Must submit a Tuberculosis Skin Test with a negative reading upon offer.
• Must submit First Aid/CPR certification upon offer.
• Must obtain ANSA and CANS Certificate upon offer.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or higher education is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
