The Community Support Specialist for the Reconnect Eating Disorders Team at Ozark Center is a full-time position dedicated to delivering community support services to individuals affected by various behavioral health issues, including eating disorders, substance use, trauma, and mental illness. This role emphasizes the use of trauma-informed and person-centered approaches, aiming to promote the highest levels of independence and autonomy for the individuals served. The specialist will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized support plans, and facilitate access to necessary resources and services. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with four years of mental health experience, or an Associate's Degree with two years of mental health experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of experience working with substance use disorders and/or within the legal system, although this is preferred rather than mandatory. A Class E Driver's License in Missouri or an equivalent license in the employee's state of residence is required, along with active car insurance. This role is crucial in providing integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders, which includes group education, individual and family therapy, and case management services. The Community Support Specialist will also be involved in providing medication services as part of client-centered treatment, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique situations.
