The Community Support Specialist Supervisor at Preferred Family Healthcare is responsible for overseeing a team of associates who provide care coordination and access to community resources for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders. This role is crucial in ensuring that the services rendered are appropriate, clinically justified, and delivered at the right frequency and intensity based on client needs. The supervisor will work under the guidance of the Director or Vice President to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other agencies in the communities served. This includes conducting monthly record reviews to ensure compliance with State Regulatory and CARF standards, as well as monitoring the program's Quality Improvement Indicators. In addition to compliance monitoring, the supervisor will provide oversight for service provision, including conducting spot checks on staff documentation to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of services. They will also be responsible for developing annual training schedules for Community Support Specialists, coordinating required in-services, and monitoring staff completion of annual trainings. The supervisor will play a key role in promoting the overall health and wellness of clients, adhering to the SAMHSA 4 Principles of Recovery: Health, Home, Purpose, and Community. The position requires the supervisor to ensure that community support associates represent the agency professionally and maintain appropriate contact with clients, family members, referral sources, and outside entities. They will also be tasked with developing program schedules, coordinating services with outside agencies, and monitoring the program budget. The supervisor will provide clinical direction and supervision, perform corrective coaching, and maintain individualized training plans for associates. This role is essential in fostering a team approach to increase communication, address complaints, and develop plans to improve program concerns. The supervisor will also assist the Program Director in preparing quarterly reports and indicators, ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented effectively to guide service provision.
