About the position

Caliber Therapies, LLC is seeking a dedicated Community Support Specialist to join our team in Quincy, FL. This role is essential in providing specialized therapies and services to individuals of all abilities across their lifespan. The Community Support Specialist will work primarily within the client's residence and/or in the community, ensuring that our clients receive the support they need in a comfortable and familiar environment. As a Community Support Specialist, you will be responsible for driving to various locations within Quincy, FL, and assisting clients with transfers and activities of daily living (ADLs) when necessary. This position is contracted, with the potential for increased hours based on performance and availability. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, ethical, and organized, with a strong ability to communicate effectively. You will be expected to meet deadlines and take initiative in your role, ensuring that all client needs are met with the utmost care and professionalism. This position requires a commitment to providing compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with brain injuries, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health challenges, and veterans. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized therapies and services to clients in their residences and/or in the community.
  • Assist clients with transfers and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
  • Drive to various locations within Quincy, FL to meet clients.
  • Document client progress and services provided using a tablet or iPad.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure quality care.
  • Maintain professional liability insurance and other required certifications.

Requirements

  • CPR Certification for pediatrics and adults; must have or be willing to obtain upon hire.
  • First Aid Certification; must have or be willing to obtain upon hire.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background and driving history check.
  • Current full coverage auto insurance.
  • Professional Liability Insurance; must have or be willing to purchase upon hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience working with brain injury, IDD, mental health populations, and/or the Veteran population.
  • Military service or experience working with the Veteran population is preferred but not required.
  • Own or be willing to purchase a tablet for documentation.
