About the position

The Community Support Specialist plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with serious mental illness. This position involves working with either the adult or children's population in Jackson and George Counties, ensuring that clients receive the necessary community support services in compliance with mental health standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide community support services to severely mentally ill individuals according to documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with primary therapists, consumers, guardians, and other service providers for service provision and referrals.
• Complete administrative and data collection paperwork in compliance with deadlines and requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of all clients by adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Valid driver's license and full coverage automobile insurance.
• Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare professionals.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience in behavioral health is preferred.
