Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementation
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Utilize evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing, Positive Reinforcement, Trauma-Informed Strategies, and CBT/DBT approaches
  • Coordinate care with service providers, including physicians, schools, and community organizations
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, treatments, and progress
  • Participate in staff development activities and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders involved in the client's care

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field
  • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution
  • Four years of qualifying experience in a related human services field or a combination of education and experience equaling four years
  • Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) certification such as CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC-P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP-D
  • Successful completion of background checks
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation and Relias Learning training
  • Obtain trainings to assist in professional development meeting DMH Standards
  • Valid driver's license in state of residency with acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation and proof of valid auto insurance
