The Community Support Specialist at the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) will play a crucial role in providing direct services and case management within the Community Development Department. In this role, the Community Support Specialist will engage in case management by conducting one-on-one, couple, or small group sessions. Building relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and financial institutions will be essential for developing resources that benefit clients. The specialist will also be responsible for tracking client progress, modifying action plans as needed, and ensuring confidentiality of all client information. Additionally, the specialist will focus on enhancing clients' financial capabilities by conducting detailed assessments, assisting with budgeting, and providing strategies for improving financial health. They will help clients navigate job searches, prepare resumes, and practice interview skills. The role also includes conducting community workshops on relevant topics such as budgeting, savings, and credit building, as well as participating in outreach efforts to recruit program participants.
