Additionally, the role includes support for banking and budgeting, health safety and wellness, household management, and the development of adaptive living skills. It is important to note that this position is not associated with a residential group home setting, emphasizing the focus on community integration and individual empowerment. The Community Support Specialist is expected to work flexible hours, primarily during late afternoons and evenings, making it suitable for part-time employment. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $21.00, depending on experience, along with mileage reimbursement and referral bonuses. Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including community participation and recreational activities.
  • Support clients in banking and budgeting tasks.

  • Help clients with household management and adaptive living skills.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Have a reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check through the MN Dept. of Human Services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfortable and confident working independently without direct supervision.
