The specialist will engage in various activities, including client intake, job development, and ongoing support, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive assistance tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in developing problem-solving, decision-making, and independent living skills.
• Guide clients in positive interactions with support persons, peers, and supervisors.
• Document observations, client progress, and significant activities accurately.
• Prepare intake documents and input client information into records.
• Assist clients in job searching tasks, including resume completion and attending interviews.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and their job contacts for ongoing support.
• Attend required training and staff meetings, ensuring timely documentation of all activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four years of experience working with people with disabilities, or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Knowledge of word processing software (Word) and electronic mail software (Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in caregiving (1 year preferred).
