Services are provided within the client's residence and/or in the community, primarily in the Tacoma, WA area. This role is a contracted position, with the potential for increased hours based on performance and availability. The position requires driving to various locations, and may involve assisting clients with transfers and activities of daily living (ADLs) in some cases. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, ethical, organized, and strong communicators who can take initiative and meet deadlines with ease. As a Community Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to clients in their homes and communities, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to achieve their personal goals. This role requires a commitment to maintaining professional standards and providing compassionate care to all clients. You will be expected to document your interactions and services provided using a tablet, and therefore, having access to a reliable device is essential. Additionally, you will need to maintain professional liability insurance and be prepared to undergo background and driving history checks. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to manage your time effectively while fulfilling your responsibilities.
