About the position

Crystal Springs Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Supporter to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through well-structured activities. This role offers both full-time and per-diem opportunities, focusing on coordinating and overseeing various in-house and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and engagement for residents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee a variety of in-house and outdoor activities, emphasizing gymnasium and group events.
• Develop and implement plans to utilize playgrounds, gym, tree house, sensory room, and other facilities.
• Maintain a detailed calendar of events and coordinate summer schedules.
• Ensure the safety and engagement of residents by obtaining necessary certifications such as Lifeguard, Pool Operator, and Special Olympics coach.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Capability to obtain and maintain Lifeguard and Pool Operator certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Special Olympics coach.
• Ability to pass a van driving in-service.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation or vocational setting.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is a plus.
