About the position

We are excited to announce an opening for a Community Transformation Specialist at KEV Property Management in Newport News, VA. This full-time position is ideal for an experienced candidate in multifamily property management who is ready to take on the challenge of leading, managing, and overseeing one of our properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively leasing up the property and ensuring its overall success. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will be working on-site at one location, providing effective leadership to maximize the operating performance and effectiveness of the assigned property. In this position, you will have full accountability for the asset's appearance and will be tasked with marketing and leasing the property. You will also be responsible for maintaining and reporting on the budget, managing collections, and providing superior customer service. Your leadership will be result-driven, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of proven experience in property or community management, with a strong understanding of budgeting and financial management. We are looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable in property management but also possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Experience in Virginia is strongly preferred, and familiarity with Tax Credit Certifications and AppFolio software will be considered a plus. Requirements

  • Leasing experience is a must

  • Tax Credit Certifications a plus
  • AppFolio experience strongly preferred
  • Clear understanding of budgeting and financial management and analysis
  • Successful experience with lease up properties
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
