The Companion Aide position at Home Helpers of North Greensboro involves providing companion care and daily living assistance to elderly clients and those requiring recuperative or continuing care. The position is part-time and requires fluency in both English and Spanish, along with a valid driver's license and personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety.
• Provide light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and shopping.
• Provide companionship services, such as playing games, reading, and accompanying clients on outings.
• Report any incidents or problems related to work to the Service Supervisor immediately.
• Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client's behavior to the Service Supervisor.
• Follow the client's assigned plan of care.
• Provide escort service for clients to doctor's appointments and errands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year experience working in a home care setting.
• Must have valid NC Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• MUST speak BOTH English AND Spanish fluently.
• Personal means of transportation.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be very dependable.
• Must understand and respect client ethics and confidentiality of care.
