About the position

The Senior Territory Representative is responsible for engaging with customers in the veterinary sector, including clinics and shelters, to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions through the Company's Animal Health division. This role involves collaborating with field sales teams, developing customer strategies, and driving sales growth within the Montana territory. The representative acts as the primary contact for assigned customers, ensuring that the Company's offerings are aligned with customer needs and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Interact face to face with customers to understand their needs and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, meeting with key personnel to understand their business models and needs.
  • Develop customer strategies that outline interactions, solutions, and potential offerings to drive sales growth.
  • Create territory and account plans for key customers to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Field Partners to focus on key accounts and corporate clinics.
  • Share knowledge and insights with team members to foster growth and development within the sales team.
  • Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identify and select programs/services to address customer needs and provide education and training opportunities.
  • Work with leadership to develop and deliver relevant offerings that meet customer needs.
  • Stay updated on Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (pending degrees considered if completed before starting).
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation and focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Commitment to collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to customers' evolving needs and expectations.
  • Effective application of selling techniques while managing multiple accounts.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to use an iPad.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel overnight and work some weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales experience within the Animal Health Industry.
  • Knowledge of animal health biological and pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience working with distribution partners.
  • Multi-lingual fluency, particularly in Spanish.
