About the position

The Companion Animal Territory Manager is responsible for managing sales within the Arizona territory, focusing on veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts. This role involves understanding customer needs, developing strategies to meet those needs, and promoting the company's Companion Animal product portfolio. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive sales growth and enhance customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate about the product portfolio in a meaningful way tailored to individual customer needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, meeting with key personnel to understand their business models and needs.
  • Develop customer strategies to identify business opportunities and drive sales growth.
  • Create territory and account plans for key customers, collaborating with National Account Managers and Distribution Field Partners.
  • Work across species teams to enhance knowledge of the entire Animal Health product portfolio.
  • Share insights and strategies with team members to foster growth and development.
  • Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identify and select programs/services to address customer needs and provide education and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and deliver relevant offerings that meet customer needs.
  • Stay updated on Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (pending degrees considered if completed before starting).
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation and focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Commitment to collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to customers' evolving needs.
  • Effective application of selling techniques across multiple accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse mix of accounts independently.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and iPad usage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel overnight and work some weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales experience in the Animal Health Industry.
  • Knowledge of animal health biological and pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience working with distribution partners.
  • Multi-lingual fluency, particularly in Spanish.
