About the position

The Senior Territory Manager is responsible for engaging with customers in the veterinary sector, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions through the Company's Animal Health division. This role involves collaborating with field sales teams to support a customer-centric business model, focusing on sales growth and account management within the Rockford, IL territory. The position requires a deep understanding of the product portfolio and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders in veterinary clinics and corporate accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Interact face to face with customers to understand their needs and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, meeting with key personnel to understand their business models and needs.
  • Develop customer strategies to enhance relationships and identify sales opportunities.
  • Create territory and account plans for key customers to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Field Partners to maintain focus on key accounts.
  • Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identify and select programs/services to address customer needs and provide education and training opportunities.
  • Work with leadership to develop and deliver relevant offerings that meet customer needs.
  • Stay updated on Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation and focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Commitment to collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to customers' evolving needs.
  • Effective application of selling techniques across multiple accounts.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales experience in the Animal Health Industry.
  • Knowledge of animal health biological and pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience working with distribution partners.
  • Multi-lingual fluency, particularly in Spanish.
