About the position

The Companion Animal Territory Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships within the Rockford, IL territory, focusing on veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts. This role involves understanding customer needs, developing tailored strategies, and promoting the company's Companion Animal product portfolio. The position requires strong communication and sales skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with various teams to drive sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Interact face to face with customers to understand their needs and consult on solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, meeting with key personnel to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop customer strategies and territory plans to drive sales growth of Animal Health products and services.
  • Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Field Partners to maintain focus on key accounts.
  • Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identify and select programs/services to address customer needs and provide education & training opportunities.
  • Develop understanding of Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation and focus on achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to independently understand customers' evolving needs and expectations.
  • Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales experience within the Animal Health Industry.
  • Knowledge of animal health biological and pharmaceutical products.
  • Multi-lingual fluency, particularly in Spanish.
