About the position

The Companion Animal Territory Representative is responsible for engaging with veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts within the San Bernardino, California territory. This role focuses on understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions through the sale of the company's Animal Health Companion Animal product portfolio. The representative plays a crucial role in supporting the customer-centric business model by collaborating with field sales teams and ensuring that the company's offerings are perceived as valuable and innovative.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate about the company's Animal Health product portfolio in a meaningful way to each customer.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, meeting with key personnel to understand their needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Develop customer strategies outlining interactions, solutions, and potential offerings to drive sales growth.
  • Create territory and account plans for key customers, collaborating with National Account Managers and Distribution Field Partners.
  • Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identify and select programs/services to address customer needs and provide education and training opportunities.
  • Work with leadership to develop and deliver relevant offerings that meet customer needs.
  • Stay informed about Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • Less than High School education required, Bachelor's Degree with sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and customize discussions based on customer needs.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess sales results and manage budgets.
  • Experience in developing customer strategies and account plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales experience in the veterinary or animal health industry.
  • Understanding of veterinary clinic operations and business models.
