About the position

The Caregiver/Companion position involves providing direct support and care to individuals, particularly seniors and those with disabilities. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients. This position can be part-time or full-time, with flexible scheduling options available.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and care to individuals in need, including seniors and those with disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Plan and prepare meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Escort clients to appointments, errands, or social outings as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures
• Familiarity with nursing home or senior care systems is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with mobility as needed
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with clients
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
