About the position
The Companion-Caregiver position at Butler Support Services LLC involves providing essential daily support to an individual with disabilities. The caregiver will assist with various tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, and companionship, while also engaging the client in enjoyable activities and community outings.
Responsibilities
- Assist the client with daily living activities such as dressing and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals for the client, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Provide companionship and engage in activities like reading, coloring, and puzzles.
- Accompany the client during community outings and volunteer activities.
- Remind the client to care for her small dog, including taking it out for walks.
- Drive the client's wheelchair-accessible van when needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a level 2 background check.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have or be willing to complete state-required trainings.
- Must be willing to attend Medication and CPR classes if not already certified.
- Must have an active driver's license and Social Security card (or work visa).
- Must be willing to complete service logs for the services provided.
