About the position

The Companion Caregiver role at Visiting Angels involves providing essential personal care and companionship to seniors and disabled adults. Caregivers will work closely with clients to meet their daily needs and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Providing medication reminders
• Performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing, and serving meals
• Assisting with transfers, walking, and physical activity
• Providing transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Offering companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors and/or disabled adults, either professionally or personally
• Reliable transportation
• Strong reliability and professionalism
• Enjoyment in assisting the needs of others

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
