About the position

The Compensation Analyst position at Truist Bank is a full-time role focused on supporting the Corporate Functions team, which includes Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Technology, Audit, Risk, and the Chief Operating Office. The ideal candidate will thrive in an energetic and collaborative environment, engaging in analysis, research, and direct partnerships with Compensation Consultants, Human Resource Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition teams. This role is essential for ensuring equitable and competitive compensation across various business units, particularly as the team expands its coverage. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and providing solutions to improve compensation policies and programs. This includes completing compensation survey submissions, performing job evaluations, analyzing data, and producing insightful reports and presentations. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to various stakeholders. As of October 1, 2024, the role will require the candidate to work in the office four days a week, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving compensation goals. Candidates should be prepared to manage competing priorities and work under moderate supervision while providing informal guidance to new teammates. The role may also involve managing specific compensation projects or programs, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the compensation function within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Complete compensation survey submission and leverage results for effective utilization within the team and business.
  • Perform job evaluations, including market comparisons, weighting/blending of results, and internal equity considerations.
  • Analyze and maintain data to support compensation administration and projects.
  • Partner with Compensation Managers and Consultants to provide compensation consultation to less complex business units.
  • Produce compensation-related reports, analyses, and presentations in collaboration with Compensation Managers and Consultants.
  • Manage compensation consulting advice and projects for specific lines of business or functions as assigned.
  • Solve routine problems of moderate complexity using experience and judgment.
  • Provide informal guidance to new teammates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze possible solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software products.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources principles and practices.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Market Data tools.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
