About the position

The Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in the administration of wage and salary structures within AtlantiCare. This position is responsible for educating and training management on compensation policies and programs, ensuring that staff and management receive expert and accurate advice regarding compensation matters. The analyst will determine pay grades, prepare job descriptions based on specific job responsibilities, and participate in compensation surveys to align with industry standards. Additionally, the role involves providing wage and salary administration in accordance with AtlantiCare policies and Department of Labor regulations. The Compensation Analyst will also share best practices related to Performance Management across various business units within AtlantiCare. This includes making recommendations concerning Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) requirements and the role of Human Resources in ensuring survey readiness. The position supports organizational goals by delivering quality customer service, engaging in performance improvement initiatives, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, capable of functioning independently, and possesses strong analytical skills. They will be expected to demonstrate competencies as outlined in the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this role, ensuring that they meet the performance expectations set forth by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Administer wage and salary administration processes.
  • Educate and train management on compensation policies and programs.
  • Determine pay grades and prepare job descriptions based on job responsibilities.
  • Participate in compensation surveys to align with market standards.
  • Provide wage and salary administration in accordance with AtlantiCare policy and DOL regulations.
  • Share best practices related to Performance Management across AtlantiCare Business Units.
  • Provide recommendations concerning JCAHO requirements and HR's role in Survey Readiness.
  • Support organizational goals by providing quality customer service and participating in performance improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource management or related field required or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of compensation administration experience within the human resources/hospital function required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including premium job evaluation and market analysis.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Computer Applications is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
  • Detail-oriented and able to function independently.
