About the position

The Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing, verifying, tracking, and reporting on compensation programs within the health system. This position involves evaluating job descriptions, ensuring market competitiveness, and collaborating with various departments to maintain equitable job design and salary structures.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, verifies, tracks and reports on compensation programs.
  • Evaluates jobs by reviewing job descriptions and analyzing best practice and benchmark data.
  • Coordinates with department heads in developing and modifying job descriptions.
  • Continually reviews the health system's comparative position relative to market data.
  • Models compensation alternatives and costs out changes; makes recommendations.
  • Ensures statutory, regulatory, and organizational requirements are met.
  • Collaborates with Labor and Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition.
  • Participates in special projects such as reorganizations and salary surveys.
  • Completes timely and accurate salary surveys and analyzes results.
  • Operates under general guidance and makes independent decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 1-3 years of compensation experience required.
  • Prior experience with market pricing, salary surveys, and job architecture strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel preferred.
