The Compensation Analyst at University Health plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and administration of various compensation programs within the organization. This position is integral to ensuring that the compensation structure aligns with the organization's goals and market standards. The analyst will be responsible for conducting job evaluations, preparing job descriptions, performing market analysis, managing salary administration, and participating in annual compensation planning processes. As a subject matter expert, the Compensation Analyst will also oversee the administration of incentive plans and clinical/career ladder programs, ensuring that these initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Compensation Analyst will work closely with other Human Resources staff to contribute to departmental priorities and ensure timely delivery of services. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, as the analyst will need to interpret data and provide insights that inform compensation strategies. Additionally, the role demands excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex compensation concepts to various stakeholders within the organization. The Compensation Analyst will also be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure that University Health remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Conduct job evaluations and prepare job descriptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Three plus years of experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs.
  • Strong statistical analysis and mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of a computerized HRIS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional designation.
  • Experience in the health care industry.
