About The Position

The University of Louisville is seeking two Compensation Analysts to join their team, with positions available at either the Compensation Analyst I or II level based on candidate qualifications. The role involves providing counsel to department managers regarding compensation actions, interpreting policies, and conducting salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation practices. The position offers a hybrid/remote work arrangement with three days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
  • At least one year of Human Resources experience for Compensation Analyst I.
  • Two years of directly related experience for Compensation Analyst II.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and familiarity with statistical packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in compensation analysis and research.
  • Knowledge of HR disciplines such as employee relations, recruitment, and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in salary surveys and compile, analyze, and evaluate survey data.
  • Maintain compensation market data with updated survey sources.
  • Conduct and participate in compensation surveys conducted by other universities.
  • Maintain job descriptions for HR records.
  • Perform research to support compensation projects and investigate compensation-related issues.
  • Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation problems.
  • Compile reports and assist in tracking and analyzing data integrity issues.
  • Review and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Partner with Employment on compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Develop documentation for compensation processes and procedures.
  • Assemble and distribute reports for Finance and Compensation for proper accrual management and expense forecasting.
