The Compensation Analyst provides analytical support to the compensation function within Horace Mann. This role is essential in assisting with job documentation, job evaluation, salary administration, and conducting special studies. The individual in this position will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and developing modifications to compensation programs to meet the identified objectives and needs of the organization. This may include adjustments to base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives. In this role, you will thrive if you consider yourself an analyst, as you will assist in conducting surveys and analyzing results for effective compensation planning. Additionally, you will act as an advisor, guiding and advising HR Business partners and leaders from various business units, as well as other HR Centers of Excellence, on the administration of compensation programs. You will also serve as a resource by participating in compensation projects, assisting in merit budget planning, monitoring records for pay irregularities, and preparing and maintaining job descriptions and evaluations. Other responsibilities will include developing compensation guidelines and procedures, as well as developing and facilitating presentations related to compensation programs. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the compensation strategies align with the overall goals of the organization and support the workforce effectively.
