About the position

The Compensation Analyst II position at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium involves assisting employees with understanding and utilizing their compensation while maintaining and processing compensation programs. The role supports the design and development of compensation programs to align with the organization's objectives, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and maintain job descriptions according to established format.
  • Maintain a centralized job description library.
  • Extract, analyze, and report wage and salary information from electronic database systems.
  • Coordinate compensation and job evaluation meetings.
  • Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Assist with special projects such as merit, incentives, and market pay salary survey software upgrades.
  • Participate in salary surveys by extracting and reporting wage & salary data.
  • Maintain survey library and keep wage & salary communication documents updated.
  • Compare positions internally and externally, making recommendations for grade level changes.
  • Lead all compensation-related compliance efforts regarding minimum wage increases and regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in providing Human Resources administrative support.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of benefits and compensation organization and regulation.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of applications.
  • Skill in mathematics and analysis.
  • Skill in MS Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Compensation experience preferred.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification preferred.
