About the position

As a Compensation Analyst II at SNC, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing compensation programs that align with our business objectives and attract top talent. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who is passionate about data analysis and enjoys collaborating with various teams. You will be part of SNC's corporate team, which provides strategic direction and business support across multiple functions, including finance, human resources, and operations. The role is open to a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility in your work environment. In this position, you will conduct market research and analysis to determine competitive compensation rates and trends for all positions within the organization. You will be responsible for collecting relevant data, performing thorough analyses, and offering recommendations that align with the company's philosophy and departmental objectives. Additionally, you will support performance evaluations and other reward and recognition programs, serving as a key liaison with management on all compensation-related matters. Your responsibilities will include administering competitive and equitable compensation programs to attract and retain high-performing individuals, auditing data with a strong attention to detail, and resolving discrepancies. You will also evaluate and analyze salary surveys to ensure that our compensation programs remain competitive, participate in compensation-related projects, and evaluate job positions to determine FLSA classification. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to influence and educate leaders on compensation decisions and educate employees about compensation activities and practices. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying best practices in compensation, aiming for continuous improvement in our compensation program. You will maintain and report accruals and results surrounding various compensation-related activities, including Annual Incentive Plans and Long-Term Incentives. Your ability to analyze data and develop recommendations based on your findings will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis to determine competitive compensation rates and trends for all positions within the organization.
  • Conduct thorough analysis, collect relevant data, and offer recommendations aligned with the company's philosophy and departmental objectives.
  • Support performance evaluations and other reward & recognition programs.
  • Serve as a key liaison with management on all compensation related matters.
  • Administer competitive and equitable compensation programs to attract and retain high performing people.
  • Effectively audit data with a strong attention to detail and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify best practices in compensation that aim at continuous improvement in compensation program and strategic direction in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our compensation program.
  • Evaluate and analyze salary surveys to ensure that compensation programs remain competitive.
  • Participate in compensation-related projects, including program design, implementation, and communication.
  • Evaluate job positions to determine FLSA classification (exempt and nonexempt) and provide salary recommendations.
  • Perform benchmarking analysis and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and approve promotions, job changes and salary adjustments using sound compensation fundamentals and internal review framework.
  • Maintain and report out accruals and results surrounding Annual Incentive Plans, Long-Term Incentives, Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation and other compensation related activities.
  • Pull and analyze data for Total Rewards, Bonus, Merit and other compensation related statements - including reviewing, updating and recommending adjustments to the compensation communication statements.
  • Educate employees and leaders on compensation activities, practices & philosophy (Comp 101).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and develop recommendations based on findings.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including experience with pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt and work with a variety of situations, individuals, or groups.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Certification
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry, including knowledge of rate structures and Government Contracting
  • Exposure to Service Contract Act (SCA) or Davis Bacon Act (DBA)
