About the position

As a Compensation Analyst II at WM, you will provide moderately complex analytical support essential for the design, implementation, and evaluation of compensation programs across the organization. Your role will involve reviewing and analyzing compensation trends and competitive practices in relevant labor markets, as well as analyzing HR data to prepare reports that furnish management with accurate and timely information. You will work closely with HR and business partner teams to identify and address compensation issues, which includes conducting compensation-related assessments, making recommendations, and providing support. Your responsibilities will include conducting market pricing activities such as job matching, data analytics, benchmarking, and job pricing. You will analyze broad-based cash incentive compensation practices using third-party salary survey data management automation systems. Participation in compensation surveys on behalf of WM is also a key aspect of your role. You will maintain an online market survey and benchmarking tool, ensuring the accuracy of WM employee data and job matching. Additionally, you will design and run reports as requested and needed. Collaboration with Human Resources Support is crucial to ensure that the Human Capital Management (HCM) system supports current compensation programs. You will assist with report generation to support business needs and consult on system enhancements to improve Total Rewards and Compensation processes and administration. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in annual and periodic reviews of market competitiveness for WM employees, maintaining WM job codes and job architecture, and participating in administrative processes to uphold the integrity of employee information and calculations housed in WM's salary planning and incentive programs. You will develop and maintain necessary documentation required for compensation processes and partner with other team members in administering compensation programs, including the annual salary planning process, incentive process, and salary range development. Training content development for HR partners and managers regarding compensation programs and practices will also be part of your duties. You will manage the department email inbox and respond to compensation-related requests, as well as conduct audits as needed to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining required documentation for policies, procedures, controls, and plans.

Responsibilities

  • Post and maintain current information and documentation to WM's internal locations concerning compensation and HRIM.
  • Administer and manage the department email inbox and respond to compensation-related requests.
  • Conduct audits as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 4 years of work experience in Human Resources or Compensation Administration required.
  • 2 years of prior work experience in mid to large-sized companies required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar area of study preferred.
  • Human Resources Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) WorldatWork preferred.
