About the position

The Compensation Analyst II at SCAN Group is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating compensation programs across the organization. This role involves close collaboration with People and Culture business partners and the Talent Acquisition team to analyze the impact of various compensation packages, ensuring competitive compensation for all employees. The analyst will conduct market analysis, evaluate existing compensation plans, and contribute to salary administration programs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the organization's jobs and document responsibilities and requirements in job descriptions.
  • Contribute organizational data to and analyze results of compensation surveys.
  • Conduct market analysis of company jobs to determine competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs.
  • Participate in annual salary administration programs, including salary structure creation and maintenance.
  • Participate in the administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs.
  • Handle moderately complex issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Work effectively with data and interpret results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of Compensation experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, SQL, and Access skills.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create dynamic spreadsheets (formulas, VLookups, Pivot tables).
  • Analytical thinking skills with strong financial acumen and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and stay informed on changing compensation laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday experience is a plus.
  • Project management skills are desired.
