About the position

We are currently looking for a Full Time Compensation Analyst III to join our Compensation B team working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr. This position is remote but there would be times that this employee would be asked to report in the office for trainings, etc. The Compensation Analyst III provides advanced compensation analytical guidance and support to tribal, health, and business units. This role involves conducting job evaluations, compensation reviews, and generally setting base pay for positions throughout the organization. The analyst will participate in various compensation projects that involve market pricing, job research, pay structure development, and support of related functions. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with multiple levels of internal customers. The position requires a high level of math, proficiency in Excel, interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong internet connectivity is necessary to perform work effectively in this remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Applies total rewards principles and labor market data, including all base and variable pay management tools.
  • Receives job evaluation requests, validates materials received, and gathers initial data needed for the job evaluation.
  • Evaluates non-manager roles with limited oversight and manager roles with general oversight based on sensitivity of the role being evaluated.
  • Assists in special compensation projects by conducting research, performing analysis, and preparing simple to complex level reports.
  • Studies current internal and external wage and salary data to build recommendations for compensation customers.
  • Assists with the design and development of new compensation programs and modifications to existing programs.
  • Participates/conducts in annual compensation salary surveys.
  • Guides and assists internal customers in developing job descriptions for their areas.
  • Conducts analytical and quantitative research of pay practices.
  • Interacts with a variety of business partners in HR and assigned customers in all organizational areas, usually at or below the director level, providing compensation reviews, procedural guidance, and problem resolution.
  • Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to reason and anticipate both short-term and long-term solutions for compensation-related issues.
  • Uses Chickasaw Nation base pay policies and compensation guidelines and procedures to accomplish tasks and provide answers to customer inquiries.
  • Performs the work of higher-level staff on an intermittent or ongoing basis as a means of development or to meet division needs.
  • Provides first-class customer service, answering questions in a courteous and professional manner, and partnering with internal and external services as needed.
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies, and SOPs for assigned area.

Requirements

  • 5 years of directly related experience in compensation analysis or a similar field.
  • High School diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree in a directly related field is preferred.
  • Master's degree in a directly related field is a plus.
  • Certified Compensation Professional credential is preferred but not required.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite.
  • Basic project management skills, including communication, scope, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance is preferred.
  • Experience in a casino or healthcare environment is a plus.
