About the position

The Compensation Analyst position at DHR Health is a full-time role based in Edinburg, Texas, focused on analyzing, developing, and implementing a base pay system that aligns with the organization's mission to improve the well-being of those served. The analyst will review facility compensation policies to establish competitive rates aimed at attracting and retaining employees. This role involves preparing audits for legal compliance and ensuring internal equity within the compensation structure. The Compensation Analyst will conduct cost analyses and compare market trends to make informed recommendations regarding the overall wage and salary program, particularly for market adjustments. In this position, the analyst will compile salary wage data and metrics for compensation analysis, working closely with Human Resources to maintain and analyze job descriptions. They will audit data to ensure compliance with job codes and employment status, and participate in salary surveys to assess market competitiveness. The role also includes generating various reports and queries, managing projects, and facilitating process improvements between Human Resources and Labor Management. The analyst will provide analytical support for compensation requests and projects, preparing reports of data results and presenting findings to management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information. They should be proficient in advanced Excel and have experience with compensation research and data analysis. The role may require some evening or weekend work, and the candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. This position is integral to supporting the overall labor management strategy and contributing to system decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Compile TSHHRAE Salary Wage data and metrics for compensation analysis.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to maintain and analyze job descriptions and make recommendations for appropriate wage salary grade placement.
  • Audit data to ensure compliance with job codes and employment/exemption status.
  • Plan, conduct, and participate in salary surveys to analyze data to determine market competitiveness.
  • Assist with compiling Staffing and Finance committee reports for compensation recommendations.
  • Generate reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Manage projects and process improvement between Human Resources and Labor Management.
  • Use data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of upgrade or current system(s).
  • Administer the annual market review process for wage analysis recommendations.
  • Provide and develop analytical support and data analysis on a variety of compensation requests and projects.
  • Support Labor Management processes with data and statistics for trends and patterns.
  • Analyze practices and make recommendations to management.
  • Prepare reports of data results and present findings to management.
  • Facilitate implementation of related initiatives.
  • Contribute to system decision-making, scoping, and arranging labor management system projects in support of the overall labor management strategy.
  • Create compensation statistics.
  • Provide analytical support and data analysis on projects and Human Resource metrics.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on the status of issues and concerns.
  • Assist Human Resources with special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience working in the human resources field, including HR analytics.
  • 3-5 years of relevant compensation experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with software applications (i.e. Kronos, Jobvite, Smartsheet, Tableau) preferred.
