About the position

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in the analysis and administration of union compensation. This role involves evaluating jobs, providing recommendations for wage scales, and ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The successful candidate will produce routine reports for analytical support and assist in managing various aspects of the union compensation program, including across-the-board increases, step movements, and new contract implementations. Additionally, the role requires maintaining the accuracy of union compensation-related data within company information systems through periodic audits and corrections of data errors. The position also entails participating in special projects and supporting process improvement initiatives. The candidate will analyze survey data and internal data to provide salary and wage scale recommendations that ensure internal equity and market alignment. Responding to routine inquiries regarding wage grids and reports is also a key responsibility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a breadth of professional skills and capabilities, ensuring that the organization's mission, vision, and values are at the forefront of decision-making and actions. This role requires a collaborative approach, working effectively with various individuals and groups to resolve organizational and operational issues. The candidate should possess knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques, as well as human resources systems, to effectively analyze enterprise data and identify factors influencing business performance. A strong sense of self-motivation and initiative is essential, along with the ability to design and implement salary programs based on market trends and job evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis and administration of union compensation, including base pay increases outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Evaluate jobs and provide recommendations for wage scales and perform associated analysis.
  • Ensure requests for pay adjustments comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Produce routine reports for analytical support.
  • Provide analytic support for union compensation program management, including across-the-board increases, step movement, and new contract implementation.
  • Support the delivery, education, and communication of union compensation programs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of union compensation-related data by conducting periodic audits and correcting data errors.
  • Participate in special projects and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze survey data and internal data to provide salary and wage scale recommendations for internal equity and market alignment.
  • Maintain the accuracy of union compensation databases.
  • Respond to routine inquiries regarding wage grids and reports.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of compensation, finance, or analytics experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel using quantitative analysis, pivot tables, dashboards, and advanced formulas.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
