About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Cambium plays a crucial role in supporting compensation initiatives to enhance the employee experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Compensation, this position involves applying analytical and communication skills to maintain Cambium Learning as a competitive career destination. The analyst will provide compensation support to internal stakeholders, collaborate on compensation programs, and ensure equitable compensation practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Benchmark new and existing roles to establish market-aligned compensation levels.
  • Develop compensation change recommendations for promotions, market adjustments, and internal transfers.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to create competitive and equitable job offers.
  • Foster relationships with internal customers by providing proactive support and fulfilling compensation requests.
  • Leverage data to inform and influence pay outcomes within the business.
  • Research industry trends and best practices to ensure competitive compensation for roles and talent.
  • Contribute to the development of communications and training materials regarding compensation programs.
  • Review, audit, and maintain job and compensation data integrity in Workday.
  • Prepare compensation survey participation data.
  • Participate in cyclical compensation projects including annual merit increases and bonuses.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Compensation.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • High sense of urgency and adaptability in a changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills for communicating analysis and recommendations.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, confidentiality, and data privacy.
  • Exceptional financial acumen.
  • Positive attitude and ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of FLSA regulations.
  • Advanced Excel and modeling skills.
  • Workday HRIS experience is preferred.
  • CCP or progress toward certification is desired.
