About the position

The role of the Compensation Analyst at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is designed to provide high-quality compensation-related services to managers and staff, with a consistent focus on superior customer service. This position is temporary and requires the incumbent to rely on existing systems and support mechanisms while emphasizing continuous process improvement. The Compensation Analyst will work within the Human Resources department, specifically in the temporary staffing department, which offers flexible schedules, varied assignments, competitive pay, and health insurance. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a total of 20 hours per week. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will assist with the administration of various compensation programs, including across-the-board increases for nonunion employees and contract implementation for union employees. The analyst will support the Labor Relations Team by costing union contract proposals, managing salary administration, and creating salary scale worksheets as needed. Additionally, the analyst will conduct compensation analysis using existing tools such as salary surveys and compensation databases to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity of jobs. The Compensation Analyst will also support HR teams with data analysis needs, including job and equity analysis, and coordinate the administration of contractual allowances negotiated for each union. Responsibilities include conducting salary audits, performing job evaluations for appropriate leveling, and assisting the Compensation team with special projects, reports, and spreadsheet work as required. The analyst will complete compensation surveys, including annual healthcare surveys and applicable ad hoc surveys, and administer various bonus programs, ensuring proper payout in collaboration with the Employment team. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of compensation programs for nonunion and union employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in health care and/or human resources.
  • 1-3 years prior compensation experience with high customer interaction.
  • World at Work CCP certification highly desirable.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare compensation analysis.
  • Familiarity with labor relations and union contracts.
