About the position

The Compensation Analyst at SICK is a pivotal role responsible for the analysis and administration of compensation programs within the organization. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with supervisors, managers, and HR Business Partners to provide consultative services on various compensation topics. The analyst will ensure that compensation programs are consistently applied in compliance with internal policies and government regulations, thereby playing a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the company's compensation structure. In this role, the Compensation Analyst will conduct job analyses to determine Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemptions and salary grade assignments based on external market data, internal equity, and compensation guidelines. This involves ensuring that grade assignments are both externally competitive and internally equitable. The analyst will also be responsible for administering the variable compensation plan for North America, evaluating current compensation plans against market trends, and making recommendations as necessary. Additionally, the analyst will manage the annual merit process for North America and develop and execute compensation education programs for various levels across the organization. The position may also involve performing other duties as assigned by management, which could include special projects or initiatives related to compensation and benefits. The Compensation Analyst will need to stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure that SICK remains competitive in its compensation offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to Managers and People Department on Compensation issues related to SICK pay structures, pay change recommendations, new hire offers, wage and hourly regulations, policy/procedure interpretation, variable incentive plans, etc.
  • Conduct job analysis to determine FLSA exemption and salary grade assignment based on external market data, internal equity and compensation guidelines.
  • Administrate the variable compensation plan for North America.
  • Evaluate current compensation plans against market trends, make recommendations as needed.
  • Manage annual merit process for North America.
  • Develop and execute compensation education for varying levels across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned or required by management.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Compensation or Human Resources; experience with Sales Compensation preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, human resources, or another related field.
  • Certification (CCP) or advanced training in compensation preferred.
  • Experience with market pricing and job evaluation methodologies preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and compensation software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Word processing knowledge.
  • Experience with ADP and SAP Success Factors preferred.
  • Professional written and spoken fluency in English required.
