About the position

Innova Solutions is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join their team in Newport News, VA. This full-time contract position involves maintaining retention records, tracking bonuses and incentives, conducting labor market surveys, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. The analyst will also support HR Business Partners, facilitate training, and develop compensation policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain retention records and track bonuses and incentives.
• Conduct surveys and studies of labor markets to determine compensation trends.
• Review and update job descriptions and qualifications.
• Establish pay rates and ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Support HR Business Partners with compensation-related activities.
• Perform reporting and trend analysis.
• Facilitate and conduct training across the company.
• Develop, implement, and administer compensation and incentive policies and programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2 years of experience in workers' compensation.
• 1 year of experience with HRIS systems.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of employment and labor law.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in developing and conducting training sessions.
• Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Prior HR experience.
