About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation programs. This role involves analyzing market trends, evaluating compensation structures, and providing insights to attract and retain team members. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure compensation strategies support employee engagement and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analyze compensation data to evaluate the competitiveness of pay structures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of job architecture framework.
  • Analyze job descriptions and conduct job evaluations to determine appropriate pay levels.
  • Prepare and present compensation reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Perform salary administration tasks including market pricings, merit processing, and maintaining pay structure tools.
  • Calculate and manage weekly, quarterly, and annual bonus plans.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to compensation.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to support salary planning and budget processes.
  • Conduct pay equity analyses and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain compensation databases and ensure data integrity.
  • Support recognition programs and store contests through data collection and analysis.
  • Participate in collecting company data for annual and ad-hoc compensation survey submissions.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR and management on compensation-related inquiries.
  • Research team member questions regarding pay increases and bonus payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in compensation analysis or a related field.
  • Proficient in data analysis and compensation software (e.g. HRIS systems, WorkDay).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in compensation (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional - CCP).
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies and salary benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with Excel and data visualization tools.
