About the position

As a Compensation Analyst at Warren Equipment Company, you will play a crucial role in the administration of compensation processes for all employees. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and assist in the compensation administration processes, ensuring that they align with the company's policies and practices. You will act as a liaison between Human Resources and management, proposing, implementing, and revising compensation practices to meet the needs of the organization. This position requires a keen understanding of compensation structures and the ability to analyze market data to ensure competitive pay practices. In this role, you will review, monitor, and approve job descriptions, ensuring they are accurate and reflective of the roles within the company. You will also be responsible for reviewing the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption status of jobs and determining the appropriate categorization. Maintaining the pay structure, pay grades, and pay guidelines will be essential to your duties. You will perform market pricing and review internal jobs, participate in salary surveys, and maintain the results for the organization. Analyzing and reviewing market data will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will assisting managers in the annual merit process as needed. Additionally, you will gather relevant market data on pay practices, programs, and economic trends to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you work to ensure that the company's compensation practices are competitive and compliant with all regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review, monitor and approve job descriptions.
  • Ensure job descriptions are in place and accurate for roles.
  • Review FLSA exemption status and determine appropriate categorization for jobs.
  • Maintain pay structure, pay grade and pay guidelines.
  • Perform market pricing and review of internal jobs.
  • Complete salary survey participation.
  • Maintain salary survey results for the organization.
  • Analyze and review market data.
  • Assist the managers in the annual merit process as needed.
  • Gather relevant market data on pay practices, programs and economic trends as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of related administering compensation experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.
