This role is crucial in planning, administering, and implementing job evaluation and wage and salary programs. The Compensation Analyst will also assist with payroll processing, ensuring that our compensation offerings are competitive and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. In this position, you will research compensation policies and plans to ensure that the organization's offerings are current, cost-effective, and competitive. You will utilize data and cost analyses to compare compensation plans and evaluate position descriptions to determine classification and salary. Conducting market survey research to identify compensation trends and engaging in equity studies will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with the Head of HR and department supervisors to perform job evaluations. You will design and prepare reports summarizing your research and analysis, presenting your recommendations to the Head of HR and executives. Additionally, you will ensure that the organization's pay practices comply with federal and state laws and regulations, such as workers' compensation, minimum wage, overtime, and equal pay laws. A critical part of your role will involve reviewing, analyzing, and verifying payroll reports and documents for accuracy.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation and payroll processing is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or Mathematics preferred
  • Experience providing compliance/policy/procedure support in a corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel is required.
