About the position

The Compensation Analyst will lead the administration and optimization of compensation programs at Portillo's. This role involves providing strategic insights into compensation practices, conducting in-depth data analyses, and ensuring that compensation aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices. Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration and optimization of compensation programs.
  • Provide strategic insights into compensation practices and conduct in-depth data analyses.
  • Ensure compensation aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide compensation-related guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition and HRBP teams to recommend competitive compensation packages.
  • Partner with HRIS team to ensure the HR management system meets compensation needs.
  • Administer company-wide base pay, bonus, and equity/ESPP programs.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics to forecast compensation costs and assess program effectiveness.
  • Manage regular benchmarking efforts to assess the company's market position.
  • Monitor compensation trends and market conditions to ensure competitiveness.
  • Conduct proactive reviews of compensation plans and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Promote initiatives that celebrate achievements and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or related field.
  • Two years of experience in compensation analysis and implementation, preferably in a large organization.
  • Exceptional MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills with the ability to perform detailed data analysis.
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to think critically in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional organization and decision-making skills, especially under stress.
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to set aggressive plans and create accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) beneficial.
  • Experience with MS Power Automate is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Workday or other large ERP system preferred.
  • Multi-unit experience (e.g. restaurant, retail, hospitality) and/or multi-state employer experience ideal.
