About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Children's National Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting the administration and planning of the employee compensation program. This position ensures competitive and strategic compensation practices while collaborating with various stakeholders to provide analytical support. The analyst will conduct job analyses, pay analyses, and assist in cyclical compensation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with market standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key resource to Senior Compensation Consultants and business leadership to ensure competitive pay practices.
  • Evaluate job description requests for alignment with internal philosophy and external market.
  • Conduct job analysis for FLSA classification and benchmarking against salary surveys.
  • Perform pay analysis to recommend actions for new hires, promotions, and internal equity inquiries.
  • Assist with market analyses and internal salary reviews to ensure competitiveness and equity.
  • Support cyclical compensation processes such as annual salary increases and special incentive payouts.
  • Participate in salary survey management to obtain data for policy and practice changes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HRIS applications.
  • Provide ongoing compensation support to the HRIS team.
  • Administer updates to compensation resources and assist with compliance filings and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Required).
  • 1 year of analyst experience in human resources, finance, or related fields (internship experience considered).
  • Experience conducting analyses with large data sets in Excel (Required).
  • Compensation or financial analysis experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with compensation applications such as MarketPay and JDXpert.
  • Knowledge of regulatory matters related to compensation.
