About the position

As a Compensation Analyst at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our compensation programs are fair, competitive, and compliant with state and federal regulations. This position involves responding to routine compensation review requests, performing job documentation, job evaluation, and other compensation activities. You will be responsible for maintaining job descriptions, job codes, and pay structures, ensuring that all employee transactions comply with compensation guidelines and policies. Your analytical skills will be essential as you conduct regular compensation audits and reports, complete job evaluations, and assist with special projects as needed. In this role, you will collaborate closely with recruiters to provide job offer consultations, ensuring equity and competitiveness in our compensation practices. You will also create and track compensation-based documents, such as offer letters and retention agreements, and work with the HR Technology team to manage employee data uploads related to compensation changes. Your ability to prioritize and efficiently complete multiple tasks will be vital, as you will be handling confidential information and must maintain a high level of accuracy in all your work. Responsibilities

  • Responds to routine compensation review requests.
  • Performs job documentation, job evaluation, and other compensation activities.
  • Maintains job descriptions, job codes, and pay structures.
  • Reviews and approves employee transactions and transaction exceptions, ensuring compliance with related compensation guidelines, policies, and practices.
  • Creates and/or tracks compensation-based documents like offer letters and retention agreements.
  • Creates, submits, and audits EIBs in partnership with the HR Technology team to upload employee data related to rate, merit plan assignment, bonus, grade changes, and/or corrections.
  • Submits to payroll teams new job code requests and changes, as well as off-cycle bonus and incentive payouts.
  • Completes assigned salary surveys and coordinates salary survey database updates, as well as annual maintenance and audit of job families.
  • Completes regular compensation audits and reports.
  • Completes job evaluations and internal equity reviews.
  • Assists with special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, human resources, business administration, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years of experience in compensation, finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employee compensation laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and efficiently complete multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain accuracy.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
