About the position

The Compensation Analyst role supports the successful delivery of various compensation programs and initiatives under the Total Rewards umbrella. This role is responsible for the day-to-day functional administration ensuring company compensation programs support business strategies. This position is ideal for compensation professionals passionate about developing data-centric recommendations while applying compensation best practices to employee pay programs. In this role, you will partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to ensure the successful delivery of fair and consistent compensation programs, policies, and best practices through solid interpersonal and collaborative skills. You will review and assess new hire, promotion, and pay change inquiries, providing consultation and guidance based on internal pay philosophy, market data, and pay trends. Additionally, you will work closely with HR partners and business leaders in both union and non-union plants to ensure a strong understanding of our frontline population and proactively recommend solutions that support the business. Your responsibilities will also include performing ongoing market analysis of job and compensation data and supporting annual enterprise-wide market assessments to ensure competitive rates and internal pay parity. Staying current on laws and best practices related to compensation, you will perform periodic audits to ensure compliance as needed. You will lead the administration of the job architecture framework by auditing and maintaining alignment of job codes, salary structures, and incentive plans. Furthermore, you will guide the preparation of job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements, and support the successful delivery and administration of annual salary planning, incentive programs, and special total rewards programs. Finally, you will support the development of reporting tools and training materials to enable analysis and strategic decision-making on compensation and rewards-related matters, partnering with HRIS to ensure data integrity through the implementation and maintenance of compensation data rules and classifications that enable compensation metrics and analysis that inform business decisions. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Business Partners & business leaders to ensure the successful delivery of fair and consistent compensation programs, policies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Compensation experience preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in a related field, CCP preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and statistical comprehension and skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including linking multiple worksheets, using pivot tables, writing nested functions, and creating data-centric scenario models.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with key stakeholders and client groups.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local pay regulations.
  • Plant (union/non-union) Compensation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and PayScale is a plus.
